Example listing — built on our own car
Our second example package: the same standard applied to a modern luxury electric sedan — the full specification, the photographs in order, and the flaws disclosed in the open, photographed on purpose. Built on our own car, so you can judge the standard before you pay anything. It is an example, not a live listing; the car is not offered for sale.
Why this page exists
Specification, records, condition, photographs — the whole submission, exactly as a platform receives it. Not a sample paragraph.
Each statement traces to a photograph in the set or a document in the dossier — nothing is claimed that the package can’t back up.
The flaws are photographed deliberately and written up in the open — on this car, a pinhole dent and wheel scratching. That honesty is the product.
The car
This 2023 Mercedes-Benz EQS 580 4MATIC is finished in Diamond White Metallic over Macchiato Beige and Space Grey Nappa leather with diamond-quilted seat surfaces. Two electric motors — one per axle — give it all-wheel drive, and the cabin equipment is the full luxury set: Burmester audio, the wide MBUX dash display, a rear-seat tablet in the center armrest, and a panoramic glass roof.

Records & service
Dealer service history is documented with the car. The most recent visit was in September 2026, at 22,166 miles, and included a multi-point inspection. On a live listing, this section sets out the service record the same way — dated, with the mileage at each visit, taken from the documents in the dossier rather than from memory.
What the dossier does not yet hold is shown the way we show it — as a request, never as a guess:
Every DC Auto intake asks for the items below. Until a seller provides them, the listing says so — it never fills the gap:
That is the standard we’ll hold your listing to as well — and it starts with what we ask you for. See the full list in our seller guides.
Condition & driving
Condition is what a bidder is actually buying, so the package describes it the way a buyer will test it. This car presents the way a 22,000-mile flagship should: the Diamond White paint is glossy and even — read it in the reflection close-up in the gallery — the panels are straight, and the glass, trim and brightwork are clean. Inside, the diamond-quilted Nappa shows the light wear those miles suggest and no more: no bolster damage, no marked touch points, carpets and mats clean, every screen and switch as photographed.
On the road it is defined by silence and shove. The dual motors deliver their factory 516 hp without drama — instant response, no vibration, no hesitation — and the air suspension rides the way the car was built to: settled and quiet at speed, supple around town. Steering is light at parking pace and stable on the highway; the regenerative braking gives the car its one-pedal feel in traffic, and the friction brakes — lightly worked in an EV that slows on its motors — present accordingly. It charges as it should on home AC and on DC fast charging, which is the first thing an EV bidder asks.
Condition & disclosures
Every package carries a flaw set: close-up photographs of the items a bidder would find anyway, presented in the open with the rest of the presentation. This car’s set is in the gallery below — the paint close-up and the wheel close-up — and it is written up here:
Known items, in the open: the seller reports a small pinhole dent, photographed for the package in the paint close-up below — at this size it is a feel-it-more-than-see-it item, and it is disclosed either way. The wheel close-up shows scratching and light scuffing along the machined edge of the rim, exactly as photographed. Nothing about either item is softened, cropped out or lit away.
“Where a fact is not yet proven, the package says so instead of filling the gap. That restraint is the product.”
How every DC Auto package is built
Photographs
The set runs the way a buyer thinks: what the vehicle looks like from the curb, what it is like to sit in, and whether the details match the story — flaw photographs included, in sequence, not buried. This is the opening set we ask every seller to shoot — up to 15 key photographs, straight from their phone, sequenced by us. Our photo guide walks you through every one of them.

On a live listing the full platform gallery runs much larger — each wheel and tire individually with date codes, underbody, trunk and front trunk, documents — and we send you a short shot list for it. The 14 above are the foundation set every listing starts from.
The other example
Our first example is a gasoline sports coupe — a 2021 BMW M2 Competition with a 6-speed manual — photographed, documented and disclosed to the same standard, video included. Two very different cars, one way of presenting them: that consistency is what you are hiring.
